I kind of wish the lightning barrier has been actual electricity, and not just a visual effect. Again we did everything to get all the loot. I enjoyed fighting the Shambling Mound (that’s one of the coolest monsters in a long time), but I couldn’t implode or mass frog the twigs, so had to rely on my light spells.Ī lot of mobs, an end fight, and then a lot more mobs if you want to do the optional. This quest was a lot shorter than the others. It was a fun quest anyway, though I didn’t care much for the flame skulls. We also stayed in to do all of the amber buff rocks, which I had hoped would give us another chest, but we didn’t find one. Doobrey dc’d just as we were doing the Strahd optional, and I ended up finishing that one by myself. Since it was our first time in the quest, we decided to do all the optionals. We happened to find the passage to the Symbol of Ravenkind right away, and impatient as I am I picked it up and the quest finished in like 2 minutes. We ran around the whole place, killed everything and did all the optionals we could.ĭoobrey was reading the wiki on this quest, and was using his search skills to find the secret doors. My guess is that we should have killed his guards to do so. We pretty much decided to kill everything, though we failed to betray the Baron. Apparently the quest changes depending on which answers you give the NPCS. The end fight was rather tough, and we both ended up dying there, though not at the same time.ĭuring raid night I saw people discussing this quest in titan channel. We did rescue the raven in the dungeon, but other than that I believe we skipped the optionals. I suggested we follow the quest objectives and skip running around the whole place, as it’s quite large. This is the next quest in the Ravenloft castle. I would say this one is the least memorable of the quests, as I don’t remember much about it. Doobrey realised later that the quest can be completed really quickly if you skip all the extra running around that we did, lol. Completion time: 93 minutes.Īs with the other quests, in this one we ran around checking everything, trying to figure out what to do. Mass frog and imposion was killing pretty much everything in reach. Since most of the mobs were undead, this is the first quest where Thaz outkilled Doobrey by a lot. We did run around a bit extra, flower sniffing the place which is huge, as well as doing most if not all of the optionals. This quest is the first quest in the Ravenloft castle. I solo’d this one on Cerge a few days ago and it went a bit better, except for the end fight. The end fight wasn’t terrible us being two instead of just me. I messed up the optional but other than that it was a fun quest.
We ran this quest before the first hotfix, and it has a ridiculous amount of wolves in it. It has a spooky feeling and not too many mobs, and a cool story. I failed to get any good screenshots of it. This is the short intro quest everyone has to do before getting to Barovia. Here are some screenshots from and commentary on the runs. I’ve been running the flagging quests on legendary R1 with Doobrey since the pack came out, a quest or a few per night if I’ve been able to log on. On Friday I finally finished flagging Thazara for the new raid.
